Canado-Haitian College: a model of cooperation - Canadian-Haitian cooperation merging vision and efficacy, opening the doors of new horizons to the youth striving to construct a viable life itinerary for himself or herself.
In 1969, the Canado-Haitian College was created and named as such while integrating, for the most part, the secondary school students attending Pope John XVIII School in the Bi-Centenaire area of Port-au-Prince. All was managed by the

From the outset, Canado revealed itself as a school geared toward progress, preparing the young students facing life according to the prevailing demands in the job market - thus, following the concept of great initiators such as:
Brother Gilles Charlebois, S.C. (Brother Richard) for the erection of the buildings with the support of the Canadian cooperation.
Brother Jean-Jacques Legris, S.C. for the establishment of the curriculum featuring new materials including the following:
1 - ISP (Introduction to Physical Sciences) with organized and well maintained laboratory.
2 - Introduction to Technology.
3 - Choice of careers.
4 - Language laboratory.
For the formation of the mind, the heart, the hands, Arts, Music courses (led by Brother Henri, S.C.) and Home Economics are on the agenda. In addition, religious, sports, cultural, social activities are planned through “Student Life” whose principal promoter remains Brother Claude Chénier, S.C.. How does one forget “Student Life’s” famous slogan? Canado Higher, Stronger and Farther.
