Credits - so far...
So far is the right thing to say here because we have a lot of work ahead of us and this is an ongoing process. There is no question that we're heading in the right direction in this noble undertaking. Historically, efforts like this have always required not only vision but also hard and smart team work.
This site, at its present stage, has been made possible by the combined efforts of the directing committee members who participated in the related brainstorming, planning and discussions. Just to mention a few names among others:
Karl Dormésy: Our president leads our association in an intelligent manner. He keeps close communication regarding the progress of the website and offers suggestions. Karl typifies the ideal kind of leadership. He is calm under pressure, controlled, efficient and has tremendous people's skill. But don't let his calmness give you the wrong idea. When a button needs to be pressed to keep the ship going, he'll do it at the right level because he does not lose focus. Throughout his life, Karl's name has shared a lot of sentences with such words as brilliant, selfless, dynamic etc.
Pierre-Richard Gervais: He can easily be called the father of CCH-FSCAA website since his effort acquired us our first domain name. When he made it to his first meeting, he became very impressed with the spirit that drives us. Therefore, he immediately engaged himself to take the initial steps that led to a website. Our first domain name was "LESANCIENSDUCOLLEGECANADO.ORG ". This is quite a mouthful. Subsequently, that name was simplified into CCH-FSCAA.ORG aka Collège Canado-Haïtien et Frères du Sacré-Coeur Alumni Association, Inc.. Pierre-Richard is a member of our website committee.
Mario Deller:, Our treasurer shared through email all of the CCH-FSCAA-specific document content and more. A key member of our association, Mario combines efficiency and good humor very nicely. This can only translate into ongoing progress. Mario's work ethic and reliability is something for all of us to emulate.
Harry Bloncourt: The designer of our first logo. We all admire his intensity and seriousness about the matter at hand. Harry will not let the ship stray too far off course without acknowledging it - sometimes even before it strays anywhere at all. Harry will press the button a little stronger if this is necessary for the right result to emerge.
Gérald Jean: Well informed and multi-talented, Gerald, in the event of a deadlock, in his own articulate way, will ensure that each letter i has a dot on top of it and each letter t carries its own crossbar. This usually gets things to move along.
Roby Jeudy: Despite his busy schedule and without adversely affecting his regular priorities, the level-headed Roby manages to consistently reserve a special spot in his mind and heart for the CCH-FSCAA cause - always enthusiastically promoting - with results, we must add. If CCH-FSCAA were a country, Roby could aptly be referred to as a true patriot.
Jean-Marie Desrosiers: You may call him "the traveling Jean-Marie". You may call him "le pigeon voyageur". He is our key liaison to the Canado Haitian College institution itself. He ensures that the links are not only well established but also well maintained between CCH-FSCAA/New York and our other counterparts in Haiti, Canada and elsewhere. It's relaxation time when it's Jean-Marie's turn to vocalize his updates during board meetings; at that point, just listening to him, for a while, is just what the rest of us needs to do. Furthermore, Jean-Marie contributes heavily to the quality relationship we enjoy with sponsors, friends and other supporters of CCH-FSCAA's objectives.
Jean-Claude Bailey: Current webmaster/designer, in the trenches doing what it takes with great pleasure and a hint of pain here and there. The main thing is that he enjoys being a team player as he participates in this noble endeavor with the well-intentioned winners he feels a privilege to work with.
There is a lot of positive things to say about each member of all the committees that directly reflects his/her personality - if time permitted at this juncture. Because of their combined efforts and spirit, we're able to create a comfortable working atmosphere of friendship and mutual respect pushing toward the same goal through thick and thin.
